Barcelona, 2008
The proposed interior of the new store Santa Eulalia has been based on the premise that space is temporary and transitional. This shop, located in Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona, moves for only one year to an annexed store of 770m2, divided in half floors.
Because of this premise, the project has remained most of the existing features of the space and has used the minimum possible resources to transform it.
The original distribution has been respected except for a hollow in the ground floor that visually communicates the basement and brings natural light.
The vertical arrangement of the dummies in this new window, located in this double space, helps to understand the two floors as a unit.
At the end of the store, there is a wooden tunnel with stairs that connects an annex space where the tailoring department is situated.
